RE: Atheist/liberal correlation

I would prefer that the difference between a conservative and a liberal isn't that one of them has to constantly educate the other on how absurdly racist and non-factual the things the other say just so happen to be. Surely, one isn't -required- to be an ignorant bigot regardless of their affiliation.
In any case. I have a strong suspicion that there's really not a whole lot of difference, in actuality, between conservatives and liberals, except for those manufactured slights that crop up when someone, for example..starts babbling about utopia and the degeneracy of man when presented with an example like giving away free food. The most strident free market captialist could hear me describe my model and his eyes would turn into a neverending register of cash signs ticking. It's just good business. Because it happens to -include- rampant charity (with waste and byproduct, no less)......all of a sudden there's a problem, and it's a pinko commie fantasy that won't work (despite it, you know...working..precisely because it -isn't-)...and, in addition..that it will ruin the world in some childish mad max breakdown.....
This, I think, is what people go into this with, when they assign themselves and others these two particular labels "liberal" and "conservative" - in america. It's just ridiculous, top to bottom, anymore.
