You don't think nature can be revered without imposing some unjustified metaphysical beliefs upon it?
Quote:I mean interconnected in that we are all essentially the same. We have different interpretations and experiences, but there is a common thread woven throughout. We believe we are so very different with our senses of self and egos--but much of that is all just illusion, layers thrown upon reality. Some people call it the "collective unconscious" but that has many varying meanings.
You mean "we are all essentially the same" as in the same consciousness?
And my sense of self is an illusion?
I have good reason to believe my mind is my own, and it's not your mind. What you propose is not just in the interim of scientific evidence, it is contrary to the available evidence.
Quote:How would you determine subjective vs. objective reality?
Subjective = Grounded in the experience of persons
Objective = Independent of experience
Quote:I like this quote:
Loving people live in a loving world. Hostile people live in a hostile world.
Same world.
It should be "Loving people and hostile people live in the same world, one that has no intrinsic love or hostility".
