I know from the $$$ so far, it wouldn't have been too many years ago a new cat would have been the solution. Not even an option with this one.
Vet interval is up to 6 days now, and no injections today, so good signs are evident. It's just upsetting he's still walking funny and holding head at an angle.
I know early on he was terrified from the symptoms, and I was able to comfort him about it by just holding him. While I was doing that I could feel his heart racing, and I hoped it was just fear and not something else horrid going on. He calmed down quick enough and maybe I'm reading too much in to this, but I think he feels trusting the vet and me is the best option now.
I realize his convalesce must seem to him as taking forever, I know for me it seems awful. And since coming in to the house, he's never been sick. Since the barf after the first vet trip after he was captured, AFAIK, he hasn't barfed again till this hit. Poor thing, he has to learn about being sick while being sick at this level of severity.

The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
