I kindly disagree, the authors in Physical Review do try to find the Truth about this question.

Be sure, this is the correct knowledge of the physical matters. Why? There is such amazing thing as "principle of in-distinguish-ability of the same particles". And that's why electrons, quarks, etc. are the really "elements" of Reality.
