Revelation 3:20.  I thought every Christian knows that one.

.....ok. so then what makes you think Revelation 3:20 is a quote?

The concubine knocked on the door pleading for help and died on the stoop.

In Revelation 3:20 Jesus is knocking on the door to see if he is welcome.

Again one describes a literal event, and the second describes a metaphorical process. How do I know? Because one came from a book of writings/history and the other came from a book of prophesy.

I spelled it out already, so now your reading comprehension is in question. In post #22 you asked if I was trying to pair Jesus "knocking" with verse 26???

26 Then came the woman in the dawning of the day, and fell down at the door of the man's house where her lord was, till it was light.

The knocking refers to verse 22:

Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him.

I don't know how you get the knocking out of verses 26-27.

First off, many prophecies are fulfilled metaphorically. I hope you call me out on that so you can be wrong for the 1000th time and win your free phone.

Second, I'm aware that the rapists knocking is a physical event and not a spoken prophecy. But lots of physical events are said to be prophetic. Jesus specifically compared his 3 days of burial with the 3 days of Jonah in the whale. He said a physical event was prophetic. Do you disagree with Jesus now? That would be an interesting twist.

So yes, this passage in Judges clearly is prophetic about how Jesus wants to spiritually rape you. He stands at the door and knocks, so open up and let him inside you.
