Yes, I understand the experience, I have it with regularity - as do a great many other people with almost any sufficiently engaging task. Thing is, we've looked into it...how we describe the experience does not comply with observations of the phenomena. When you're "quieting" your mind...the only coherent way to take this in context would be that you are attempting to free up transmission space - so you can fill it with musical marching orders. You haven't gone anywhere, we can see you playing (and we can see your brain gearing up for the task at hand). You're simply incapable of pursuing your normal level of introspective transmissions (our nueral architecture is not capable of transmitting infinite packets of data). This is why you -feel- that way, that you are "out of body" or out of control, even though you're very clearly and demonstrably not.
You don't become the music, ffs...not even in "essence" - and what could that even mean? That, is poetic language - not a description of the factual status of the effect we're discussing. If you attempt to draw inferences from poetic language - regarding the subject of poetic language.....I don't see why you would have confidence in your conclusions. It's cold as a witch's tit.... what does that tell us about thermal mass and entropy?

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
