For me it seems impossible, since I'm not the thought poiice. If someone takes comfort in prayer, they should get prayer. It's got nothing to do with proselytizing, since the pope, as I said in my first post, offers prayers to every victim of a disaster. That's his job. If he went out of his way trying to fish for new followers by weaving a tall tale about how this was god's punishment, it would be a different matter. But that's not what he does.
