You know, there was this popular song by Boney M, called Daddy cool around '75, '76. I don't know if it made the hitparades in the US, but it was very popular in Europe. We retexted it to daddy "schwul", which is the German word for gay and laughed our asses off over it.
That's the attitude we had before we became card carrying Christians. You are two years ahead of me in age, and as a child I didn't associate gay behavior with sexuality. My first experience of overt femininity came from my uncle. He was a finger-snapping queen. I laughed at what I thought was his eccentricity. Not until I joined the Church did I encounter people who hated him.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.
