The thing I need to watch out for is not making up for the soda by eating other sugary things. Diet soda also makes you crave more, but I think it's easier to quit. I've heard reducing sugar intake gives you energy and helps your skin. I really need those two, especially the skin.
My parents knew soda wasn't very good but they didn't know how serious it was, so I was allowed to drink soda as a kid :/ Can't really blame them, they didn't really come from the most advanced country, I remember 2011 in Kurdistan. The internet was a USB you charged, it was sooo fucking slow, holy sht.
Luckily I haven't gotten any problems from the excessive drinking, there's still time to undo.
I quit the full-sugar stuff and am entirely on the sugar free drinks at the moment. But even sweeteners are harmful, so I've been drinking more and more tea lately.
