That's...kind of really condescending.  I've met plenty of atheists on this forum along that I would describe as 'simple people' as well.

The fact that the minority of people are atheists (let alone rational) and that the majority of good scientists are atheist shows that in comparison theists are simple.
In a way since they worship archaic scriptures.

Good luck having any meaningful conversations if you enter them with the notion that your discussion partner is 'simple.'
