Much of my past research has been in astronomy and aerospace engineering, but now I'm doing cryogenic fluids and materials. The reason I switched is that I prefer hands-on lab work to computer programming and computer modeling. It was hard to leave astronomy, and I still miss it frequently. But programming just wasn't my thing. I like building stuff I'm still hoping to work somewhere in aeronautics or astronautics after I graduate.
