Apple hardware suffers from planned obsolescence, is non-user-serviceable, poor quality, and over priced. If a Macbook was the same quality as a Thinkpad, I'd give Apple full credit.

I know, I know - there are plenty of other laptop brands that are just as low quality hardware, that's perfectly true, but they cost 1/3rd of what a Macbook costs.

The only reason I use them is because they cost anywhere from about the same price to maybe twice or three times as much as a pc of comparable spec, but its been my experience that they last about 5 times longer. If my experience changes, I will seek other options. Shrug.
