Is that why you sexually harrass females online without their permission? Interesting. Tell me about your warped understanding of feminism, then.
You must realize by now that your remark says much more about you and your odd conception of feminism than it does me.
Whatever else it may be feminism is not the doctrine that women are asexual creatures who must be kept upon a pedestal at all times. While some feminists have been prudes ..
*cough*
*Dworkin*
*cough*
.. I don't think that plays any essential role in it. As with atheism, I think you'll find a wide variety of stances on all manner of topics among self proclaimed feminists.
My own brand of feminism began by noticing how limited a role the women in my own family were allowed to play in the wider world. They could rule the roost but would have been snapped at if they tried taking on responsibilities beyond the household. Weird. Growing up in the 50's and 60's it was easy to wonder if women really were mentally deficient, ruled more by emotion than reason. I just never could believe that. My brand of feminism leads me to wonder what essential differences if any there are between the sexes, or if you prefer, how is it different to move through the world with your body/brain swimming in estrogen rather than testosterone. I have more questions than answers but have never gotten tired of the questions.
I hope no one has felt harassed by my internet sexual playfulness. I'm never that way in person. But there are women here who more than hold their own and play just as hard on their side of it. I don't think any white knights are needed at the moment.
