It was the most creative way I was ever dumped.
I wasn't meaning it was wrong, but more or less I would encourage someone to look beyond that episode to find out more about the church other than just citing South Park when discussing it. When somone is making fun of the church I can usually tell if someone did their research or is just citing South Park.
However, the parts of the episode that weren't accurate were that they said he never showed the plates to anyone but in The Book of Mormon you'll see in the first few pages the testimonies of witnesses in his family who claimed to have seen the plates.
Also, The Book of Mormon doesn't say that Adam and Eve lived in Jackson County, MO like Stan mentions. It was in one of the sermons or teachings of Joseph Smith.
The reason Mormons don't take that episode seriously is because on South Park you are given the story in a satire format that has information that most Mormons don't know about. For example, I didn't know the part about translating from a hat until after I left the church. The church also doesn't teach the lost book of Lehi in any of its approved sources.
The church sanatizes its history to make it less contradictory, which is why it is easy to convince a dumb Christian to join just because it feels good.

They have bicycles in more metro and warmer climate areas. I live in SC and they ride bikes here but in Ohio they all had cars.
They have white shirts and black pants, but they don't seem to all have black ties. I think they are a little more lenient on the tie.
