We're pretty safe here in challenging them as I'm betting the endemic slackerism is going to triumph over all.
Had we been several centuries earlier, yeah, there might be some risk of inciting a new crop of fundies, but in this era, the religious folks themselves have done the work for us in diluting the brand to almost nothing as it is. Shaming them the last 5% of the way (to unfaithism) isn't too much to hope for.
I wish you all the success in getting believers off the teat of The Book, I have similar goals.
