ok, you are right.
just I am used to posting in another local forum, that is smaller and people know each other better, and sarcasm is used more often.
And Northern Americans have different sense of humour.
We don't make jokes about burning farts, for example. (yuck, so gross).
In general, it's appreciated when you say what you mean. Sarcasm is great, but if it makes it unclear what exactly you want to talk about, it's useless.
