'd like to do a theological experiment.
Take a submarine, (or some other entirely sealed vessel) and insure all the air inside is constituted artificially, like all the oxygen is from electrolyzed sea water, and the nitrogen is from an industrial process like fertilizer synthesis.
Then allow a couple on board to gestate a child. The neat thing about this environment, it is soul free. So, upon successful birth of the child, we will have an unensouled human being!
Then we watch the kid grow up without a soul and see how drastically different such a human life form would be.
