The label of fundamentalism achieves nothing. As an atheist, I believe that the possibility of god existing is very, very unlikely, nothing more, nothing less.
By calling my belief 'fundamentalist", a person achieves nothing. They'll usually do so to make me uncomfortable due to being unable to find any evidence to unseat my atheism.
I don't think atheist fundamentalism can exist, for if it's on the basis that one adheres to rules, then everyone is a fundamentalist, which achieves nothing. If one is talking with an atheist who is dogmatic and unreasonable, they might call it fundamentalism. But really what's happening is both parties are misunderstanding what atheism entails - simply non-belief in god or gods.
