I have no idea what you're talking about. We don't have the same environment as the US. In the US, for example, farmers are subsidised! They can't even afford to produce food, textiles, and pharmaceuticals without government assistance! In Australia, we don't subsidise any farmers. Anyway, the price of groceries is related to location (remoteness), and convenience mostly. Over the past 10-15 years or so Coles and Woolies reduced the cost of food transportation dramatically by cutting out the wholesalers, which now means they move move their own food around the country in their own trucks that are rarely empty. It's much more efficient than the past - at least for them.
It is true that the price of groceries is lowest in the highest-income areas (except for Aldi that has national pricing), but it's something like 5-10% of the overall cost of groceries within cities.

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK
"That's disgusting. There were clean athletes out there that have had their whole careers ruined by people like Lance Armstrong who just bended thoughts to fit their circumstances. He didn't look up cheating because he wanted to stop, he wanted to justify what he was doing and to keep that continuing on." - Nicole Cooke
