About minimum wage

Adjusted for inflation, our minimum wage peaked in 1968.  From 1980 to 2007, it was declining.   The last three years of last decade it rose back up to be worth what it is today.

I was talking about Europe, since this is the part of the world I'm most familar with. In 1980, the equivalent of 3 Euros an hour was considered a decent wage. Today, more than 30 years later, understandably, ten Euros an hour are hardly sufficient to scrape by, considering that you have to pay taxes and social security.
