Actually, a study showed that people who got their information from "The Daily Show" and "The Colbert Report" were more knowledgable than people who got their news from other sources.

Yeah, but I wouldn't rely on something like that. Even if I like the way something is reported, I go check left, right and center if I'm sufficiently interested in a certain topic.

The nature of the game is knowing where the medium in question is leaning to. If it's mainstream, it's still based on facts. The only remaining question is what the particular paper, show or network make of the facts and how they interpret them.
