I'm away for the weekend (on 58k) so please excuse my temporary absence.
As I don't have any 'resources' it seems a little unfair that you can give me lots of work to do reading through long dissertations when you will not have to suffer the same from me. I'd just rather have your fresh thoughts on the matter in hand.
One of my criticisms of you (Kyu) is that you're fixed in your opinions. I approach this with the hope of learning something and growing in my understanding. That's the point of communication to me. I don't wish to beat you down with my logic. If I did I'd expect you to go on the defensive and close ranks. In that frame of mind It's very difficult to remain open to new ideas & possibilities. Neither of us would likely learn anything or move forward in our understanding. That would be a real shame.
What has crossed my mind several times whilst I've been away, is that very recently you (Kyu) refused to debate dagda saying you had no time due to some personal reasons. Now, only days later, if I'm correct, you are suddenly willing and able to debate me. Dagda did actually have a valid reason for debating you, whereas you and I have no issues we have even begun to discuss with each other. Furthermore, you have vehemently expressed your disdain for me at every opportunity.
Going over your non philosophy/ scientific philosophy and the nature of evidence doesn't sound so exciting, but I'm willing to bear with it.
My only wish would be that you don't drop out after the initial volley stating the ridiculousness of my points without wishing to explore uncharted territory.
