"that crowd" of geek that plays tabletop.. usually still plays as it's far more adaptable and creative of a platform than video games. Those that don't have the time or dedication (like myself) play the most realistic RPG's or one's with great plot arcs and quests. The rpg'er that prefer easy controls, and focus on the hack/slash and the game interface.. typically spend just as uch time playing FPS (or originated from), IMO.
