It seems like "unbiased" has come to mean "Stuff that's reported in a way that comports with what I already believe."
I think the internet has destroyed, or nearly destroyed the ability to disseminate information objectively. Human beings, for the most part, don't seem disciplined enough as whole to be willing to accept information that contradicts what they already believe (see religion). So if you don't like the way an event is reported, just root around a little bit and you'll find what you're looking for. Then you can always be right about everything.
What's sad is that accurate information does exist in abundance because of the internet, but dumbed-down, view-affirming horseshit is also readily available. Reality just can't compete with that.
