So how exactly would that have worked? A same-sex couple got married in Massachusetts, moved to a different state and their marriage wouldn't have been recognised?
Negatron, there was a long standing agreement between states that they would recognize such arrangements made in other states. OFC, bigots lost their minds when they realized that this was being used to provide cover for sinful unions...and so there was blowback. All moot point now.
