The problem is how expensive it would be and whether or not it would actually be effective. Overall it seems kind of a dumb idea.
Here's a good video about it I posted in another thread. Of course, the conservatives here will just dismiss as liberal hogwash, but there's some good food for thought in there, like the fact that only half of undocumented immigrants actually come over that border and they're actually less likely to commit crime than a U.S. citizen.
Oh, and anyone that tells you that a wall will stop drug trafficking knows nothing about drug trafficking.
