First, I would ask, what does that say about his supporters? That a guy filing for bankruptcy - I lost count - four or five times, is the one to take a ride with when it's about the economy?
Secondly, the vulgar rhetoric as well as the endorsment by the KKK was there for everyone to take note. What does that say about his supporters?
Yeah.
And the just plain made up bullshit that was there for the entire world to see. How do you get through to people who either 1) can't see they're being lied to despite proof being available to them at the click of a mouse, or 2) who not only don't care that he's lying, but revel in it?
I do understand the anger of the white working class and to dismiss it is folly. That said, I am still reeling at the degree of racism that exists in this country. Maybe that's what being from the West Coast makes one blind to. I knew that racism still existed, but jeezus. I want to get everyone on the west coast, hand them all shovels, and start physically separating us from the rest of the country.
A lot of it was Hillary. But a lot of what they hate so much about her is either trifling or pure fiction. The full weight and resources of the GOP had been brought to bear on her for nearly 30 years and they never proved anything. I guarantee that any one of us would have been in jail for something by now given the same persecution. And this weird "She's never accomplished anything!" mantra. What the fucking fuck was that about? The woman accomplished more by the time she was 30 than most people will do in multiple lifetimes. And it's not like they couldn't find it on Wiki---or in observable reality.
I keep bouncing back and forth from resignation to bewilderment.
