She said that we should take in refugees, because we hope that someone else would do the same for us if the worst came to it, and we needed someone to care for us and our families. That we'd hope they wouldn't turn us away because where we're from, for our political beliefs, or because of our values. We should look for the best in people, not the worst. We should put people first--regardless of where they're from.
