What is your opinion about Communism?

BTW, I told that to the editor of the Marxist Review when I was taking one of his classes at Purdue. He looked confused.

My opinion on Communism is that it is way worse than Capitalism and we don't need it.
I mean, look at what happened to the Soviet Union back in the 20th century. We need Socialism, not Capitalism or Communism.

I lived under communist rule for a several years... communism wasn't very nice in Poland.... i remember the police hours after which we couldn't go out with the house
i remember people who denounced each other... i remember the empty shelves in the shops .. no sweets, meat and so on.... there was almost no TV.... but i also remember that as a kid, i spent good time with peers, because no one wanted to sit at home... so we spent a good time together....  but/and i am certainly not a Communist

If Communism has ever worked, I don't know where. It seems to always go along with Totalitarianism.
