I would not expect anyone to help me. As I said some posts ago, I wouldnt feel special compared to the other refugees. If someone helps me, great. If some dont, I wouldnt blame them because I wouldnt either.
No, I don't believe you. Hunger, thirst and the threat of imminent death make people do desperate things including leaving everything you have ever known to get on a plastic raft to float across a river or sea. I heard one refugee say it came down to a choice between a coffin (certain death) or a suitcase (migration).
I won't bother asking you what you would choose because I'm quite certain you won't answer. Lucky you - that you will likely never have to face that in real life.
