You need to maintain that in all quotes, so when you split your quote, copy the opening quote tag for each subsequent quote.

That is how I do it normally. The pid parameter, and [/code] do not appear in the opening quote tag from my point of view.

I can't see any of the content you've hidden, a common issue for me due to the security software on the station I'm using. Perhaps that affects the quote issue.
