To be fair, people don't choose their mental illness in the same way they don't choose their skin color.
It's pointless to cast judgement on him on something he has no control over. The important thing is that he recognizes right from wrong and the value of human life, despite not feeling empathy. If he can do that, then I have no further complaints.
