Lots of psychopaths of various stripes have been shown to both have mirror neurons, and that those neurons can go off when people are explicitly asked to put themselves in the shoes of another.

Psychopathy is complicated. There is a very good chance that there is more to this than just "moral subjectivist doesn't empathize".
Either way, it's not really pertinent. Empathy or not, shrugging your shoulders at the issue this thread is addressing because "moral subjectivity" is a low hanging fruit.
