The boston marathon and 9/11 are included in the fbis stats on terror attacks.  It's still less than 1% of all terror attacks, and similar fraction of lives lost.  No one's talking about taking care of the rest of the world.  We're talking about acceptng refugees that we are in an almost unique position to help.  For once, they high skilled refugees from a previously modern state, even.....bonus.

Don't rely on statistics. Pick a rare disease, and statistically, I'm not going to die from it. Yet, some people will, and we try to prevent even those deaths. People aren't going to listen to statistical arguments on this subject. You should know that.

That's an odd analogy, since the efforts to cure certain diseases are better funded than others... because those diseases affect more people every year. Seems people do listen to statistical arguments.
