You know what grinds my gears about that?  That they've managed to convince themselves that they're somehow paragons of the american ideal.  Real patriots., real americans.  They wrap themselves in a flag that they shit on just by being who they are, by forgetting -where- they are and how it came to be what they claim to love so much.....while simultaneously tumbling over each other in a mad dash to gut it (and themselves in the process) to it's very core.

Totally harshes my murica mellow.  Because now, now, I have to appeal to fact-immune bigots just to get behind the tired, the poor, the huddled masses yearning to breath free......apparently
