I don't think he would wish for that. Or see it as an opportunity. Everyone going down that lane has already donated what little brain they had left. If for no other reason than for the total economic eclypse of a war between two of the worlds leading industrial powers with ties and investments in virtual every other country on this globe.
No, Putin certainly doesn't wish for a war with China. Rising tension maybe, but noone could gain from an open war.
