Ooh, how about some controversy? DC sucks! (really, I can't stand most of their shows/movies)
Well, the way I look at it, this is DC's attempt to emulate them, using the Marvel movies in place of theirs:
1. The Incredible Hulk (in place of Man of Steel)
2. Captain America: Civil War (in place of Batman V Superman)
3. Guardians of the Galaxy (in place of Suicide Squad)
4. Captain Marvel (in place of Wonder Woman)
5. Avengers: Infinity War (in place of Justice League)
Now, can you imagine if Marvel did this sequence of films, how fast they would have crashed and burned? Yet DC isn't taking the time and care with each film to build up familiarity and rapport with their characters before slapping them together, so it's like throwing a stick of dynamite into a toy chest full of old action figures, you don't know who's who or what's happening, it's just big, shiny and loud.
Marvel took a lot of big gambles and took their time, and it paid off, and now they're practically set for life. And they were able to take relatively unknown properties and make huge successes out of them. DC hasn't done that successfully yet, though I'm not holding my breath, and their diminishing returns are making it unlikely they'll ever try.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?
