You have never answered my principle objection to the resurrection of Jesus as I outlined in my OP, namely, the following:
Answer this question for me, Drich, and I'll convert, publicly on this board, to whatever brand of Protestantism that you subscribe to.
Haven't read this entire post, time in limited. However I will respond to your question.
Whether alien abduction is real or manufactured holds zero sway if a God exists that holds supreme authority over our lives, or how and where you will spend eternity. Moreover, the aliens nor their abductees make claims to be the Creator of the universe and all that would entail.
Christ does, and His resurrection would be one of many factors to consider to authenticate this.
Welcome to the club my brother.
Good job as always Drich.
I still don't understand why you think that your religion is to be believed beyond all others, say, Islam or Hinduism. But, I agree with you, that the existence of God (in particular, the Christian God) is independent of aliens abducting individuals from this World. But, still, I find the evidence for the so-called resurrection of Jesus from the dead to be poor, at best. I see no reason whatsoever to take it seriously, and given that the evidence for alien abductions is far greater than that of Jesus' resurrection, I see no reason to take it seriously at all.

Or shall I ask instead what measure of proof do you have that their was no notice taken?
Quote:Your arguments could easily apply to the Aztec or Inca religions; why shouldn't I accept Huitzilopochtli as being god (or, a god), or Vishnu, etc., etc.? Maybe Islam is the true religion? Or, some other religion on some distant alien world?what is my argument? you don't seem to understand it, or you don't understand the other religions you just mentioned.
If Jesus truly raised people from a state of clinical death back to life, then someone like Josephus would have taken note of it. He took notice of a whole plethora of other events and happenings in Palestine, "idle gossip" to quote one scholar. Why didn't Josephus, in his 21 volumes, mention Jesus more, other than a few passing references???
