I'm unsure of the rational reason for why hate is bad, but I'm positive that the answer is negatively correlated to the answer for why love is good.
In other words, I think the answer can be found just as easily by searching for the reason for love being good.
I have been drinking a little so imagine my above speech with a little slur.
