In relation to fetlife I think it's tough for men on there for the same reasons fab swingers is tough for men. It's highly geared towards sex, and women who are geared purely towards sex are more rare than men who are purely geared towards sex.
Meaning the moment an attractive female goes on the site she's going to be mobbed my messages from thousands of men, literally thousands and have no chance to even read them all.
Even I get messages from men even after specifically stating I'm not gay or bi.
I've only met women on there via the chatrooms, which is still tough because the competition between men is still fierce but not as bad as just relying on sending messages to profiles.
