I knew that you would come up with that.  
Unfortunately you forgot one very important thing yog.
Those examples that you bring up and that I did show you in the past come after a trance state which
again come after a period of fast and meditation which is not what Storm went trough.
Not only that but Storm problem was caused by a diseases which was unavoidable while the self inflicted cuts in your and my examples were fully controlled by the trance states.

I'm not saying Howard Storm did it like the festival participants, only that such states are possible for the mind.
