I doubt very much that Trump would admit to ANY economic downturn on his watch. Remember that anything - literally anything - that casts him in a bad light is fake news.
-'Those aren't breadlines, those are people lining up to buy my new book.'
-'We have so many extra jobs in this country, we had to export some overseas.'
-'Banks are buying up peoples' houses faster than ever.'
-'Look, an interest rate of 21% is a beautiful thing - it means that 21% of people are interested in borrowing money.'
-'I'm being told that a lot of people now have 2 or 3 jobs at the same time. This means we have a negative unemployment rate.'
