I've been a fan since I first listened to them in the late 90's. I didn't love music quite as much then as I do now; let's just say I had some significant psychological changes since then. Anyway, this is the first time I've had both the passion to want to see a good musical performance and the finances to afford it. Not to mention, most of the rest of the music out there are all the same: single artists, focused almost entirely on vocals without any actual musicians, playing instruments on stage. There is so little rock music that's popular anymore, it's disappointing.
Not only that, but I can't help but think American Idiot is more appropriate now than ever.
