It's got to be  500 microFarad, or even more likely, picoFarad. Rise and fall time for any sort of lamp you think would be used consume far more than the 25 nanosecond pulses you'll be attempting to create. I'll be astonished if anything in the human nervous system works at 40 MHz. Where is the source of your information? Can you provide a link?
