Double shotguns aren't a problem really in black ops. The only major gripe I have, is that it DOES encourage camping. I agree it is cheap at times, the fact that you can tomahawk someone across the map is pretty lame, but then again in halo you can melee an opponent at the same time they do to you, and you both die? WTF. That's all I remember from playing it. Constantly getting melee'd and then meleeing the other guy at the exact same time. It's retarded.
All games have their flaws, but generally I don't see halo as anything special, or better in any area over another game.
