It's old... DOS old. But, for the time, it had all the eye candy available!
And it's quite a good book-based game. If you know Frank Herbert's Dune, you'll find many old acquaintances and the story will flow a bit like in the book.
Also, giving orders from a distance is actually part of the story and is something that develops with your character... unlike other "games" where your orders are transported by light-speed ghosts.
