The problem with all religions is that they work back wards in time. Younger generations read the writings and take ambiguous language that could fit countless points in history and go "ah ha". Even before the formation of current Israel Christians were making end times prophecies. But this is not unique to Christianity. Muslims have their 12 Imam prophecies about the final chapter before the end of time.
Look back in polytheism you will find those stories as well.
New age conspiracy nuts have pointed to the Mayans stupidly not understanding that they did not predict the end of the world, but the reality was they didn't have modern math to create a modern calendar.
Numerology exists in both polytheism and monotheism, legends use over conflated claims of conquest and over conflated numbers to convey the narcissism of the rulers of those societies much like modern pro wrestling is totally fake but uses soap opera acting to convey emotion to draw the viewer in.
Israel since the early Hebrews split off from the Canaanites has been conquered multiple times in its history. Unfortunately today's right wingers do see that as a sign their Jesus will complete the final chapter. That is scary to me because these same people vote and want to put other conspiracy nuts in power who can control our weapons and nukes. But it should also scare today's Israel too, because the bible does not claim every Jew will get into heaven, but only some, which leaves not only the left over Jews as trash, but 6 billion humans whom are neither Jewish or Christians.
It is crap, there is no such thing as a prophecy for any religion.

Not too impressive of a fulfilled prophecy.
Everyone knew about the passages in the Bible, 1000's of people post WWII were actively working toward an Israeli state, there was zero god needed in the process.
Just more proof of the ultra-low bar Christians use for evidence for their beliefs have to clear.
Building the nation after the fact is not filling a prophecy it is forcing politics to create an end you desire. It really is an excuse for self entitlement, not just for Jews, but for Christians as well. Muslims too. Funny how all three stem from the same wargod of Abraham and all three think the land is theirs. Kinda fucks up the idea that peace is obtainable.
And what a vile concept for a story in any case. So the only way you can get into the cosmic after party is if everyone else has the shit beat out of them and they get tortured for eternity?
