If I'm out of bounds here just say so and I want say anything else, that statment is past tense. Did he suggest you go there or did you think that particular school was the one that would please him.
Do not completely misunderstand me, I'm not saying that BJU is totally bad, it does provide a good education, my problem with it is that they are a untrusting school and care more about their reputation than the students learning what the real world is about. Children that have gone through christian schools or home schooling then to BJU are not prepared for the real world and when they are on there own make mistakes that do harm to christianity, not all of them but some.
Of course he suggested BJU. I wouldn't have gone otherwise ... by that age I was already having a LOT of doubts about your vile religion and your bloodthirsty god.
I cannot offer up a better explanation of why I attended that university, and it's difficult to put into words the things I felt almost 20 years ago now. I'd rather not turn this into a thread about the ups and downs of a father and son relationship. Suffice it to say, we were close ... not so much anymore.
Your question was fair, but lets call that explanation good. I'd rather focus on the stupidity of an institution rather than the mistakes of my old man.
OK matter closed.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
