Cue the "War on Christmas" outrage from the conservative right

I've never been able to figure out what Santa has to do with Jesus.  And I mean, look at Jesus, he had two dads and he turned out alright.

Santa is supposed to be an ever living Greek bishop from Smyrna (now Izmir), back when Anatolia was part of the ERE.

But as with most things christian, Santa is largely a hold over from northern European paganism, in this case the old Germanic paganism.
