The experience of love is chemistry affecting receptors in your brain. This is not news. It's like when someone smokes a cigarette. The nicotine triggers the release of dopamine which is experienced as mild euphoria.
Though I haven't studied it, I suspect morality has an evolutionary advantage for our species. We are able to read signs of others' behavior and infer what they are experiencing. If Bob looks scared, maybe I should be scared, too. Cooperation among individuals allows for advantages that conflict among individuals does not. Two sets of eyes watching for predators is better than one set of eyes doing it.
I don't understand why love or morality requires justification. If I put my face in cold water the breath-hold reflex - a universal reflex - doesn't need to be justified. It's an inherited trait.
